So round 2 has ended. Either you missed one of the boring teams, your fantasy team is sucking, or you'd like to see how much more wrong our predictions can get....well either way, here's the Footiecall round-up of Round 2.
Best player: Mario Gomez.
The chap only had the ball for 22 seconds in total & scored 2 goals in this round. Imagine if he had the ball for something crazy....like 35 seconds. Ooooh. For the people asking why Torres (2 goals) or Silva (goal + 3 assists) didn't win Best Player Round 2 - Spain played Ireland and Ireland are shit.
The "El Hadji Diouf" Overrated award: CR7.
We were impressed with the way he changed his hair at half-time. He was a let down on the pitch. He looked like a kid out there.
Blunder of the round: Poland vs Russia
The most feared game of the Euro's and for good reason. Here's a little collection and reasons why it was safer to watch this game at home:
Team of the round:
GK: Buffon
DF: Mellberg, Glichy
MF: Pirlo, Blaszczykowski, Schweinsteiger, Walcott, Silva
FW: Gomez, Bendtner, Torres
2-5-3 formation....we didn't care too much about defending in this round. Here's a wonderfully put together team.....just couldn't squeeze Silva into the mid so pretend he's behind the strikers, not next to them. Thank you.
