So here at the FootieCall offices, we decided to give you our predictions. I must tell you, it wasn't easy. At first, we tried to do the "let's vote approach" however after 12 hours and 6 visits to Groote Schoor casualty unit, we decided to do it individually instead.
So without any further babbling, ladies and gentlemen, I give you, FootieCall's Euro selections...
Themba Sweet's Euro 2012 selections
Winners: England (since birth
I’ve been forced to say this every 2 years “England will win xxxxxxx.
Football’s coming home!!” never happens though)
2nd place:
Germany
Top scorer: Torres....yeah. It’s
an easy group & he’ll be served goals on a platter.
Best player: Is Heskey replacing
Defoe? If not, then I’ll go with my 2nd option: Mezut Ozil.
The “El Hadji Diouf” overrated player of the
tournament: Sergio Ramos & Shevchenko.
Controversy of the Euro’s:
Somebody throws a banana at Mario Balotelli, he gets furious and karate chops
the racist fan. Michel Platini runs onto the pitch himself to give a red card
to Super-Mario & a red card to racism in general on planet earth. Evra is
angry at Platini for being racist. Park Ji-Sung is sad that Evra is angry. Kim
Jong ill junior attacks Poland coz Park is sad. Heskey scores while everybody
is at war. Controversial? I think so. Likely to happen? I think so.
Blunder of the Euro’s: The
birth of World War 3 is not the biggest blunder of the Euro’s. No. The fans and
their insulting chants….the exposure of racism on an international scale &
the coverage of any racist incident (which will overshadow the tournament),
this is the biggest blunder. Me speaking about it doesn’t help either. So I’m
with BCM – Roy’s squad selection. It’s blunderful.

Winners: Germany
2nd place: Does it matter...nobody remembers the losing finalist, in fact i can't even remember what i had for breakfast...
Top scorer: Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Karim Benzema
Best player: Juan Sebastian Veron. He's the best player evorrrrrrrrr...oh, for this
competition. I dunno. Watch the games...
The "El Hadji Diouf"
overrated player of the tournament: Diouf is
African, so i don't think he'd ever play in the Euro's...i could be mistaken.
Onto this prestigious award. Let's give it to the England side, their media
will pick a few and get many to believe the hype.
"Controversy of the Euro's" Racism in Poland. Wait a minute...
"Blunder of the Euro's" Roy Hodgson's squad selection.
POTZ's Euro 2012 selections
Winners:
Holland (huphollandhup) I think it’s their time to shine. They were so close at
World Cup 2010 (Waka Waka) They’ll 1
step further at the Euros (Quote me)

place: London News! I’m with BCM on this. Who the hell cares??
Top Scorer:
Huntelaar (Holland) this man has been on fire for the Dutch National team in
the past 2 years. Expect him to run away with the top scorer award.
Best
Player: Micah Richards! Wait, what…. Ok, he’s not in the England squad. I’ll go
with Rio Ferdinand… what?? He isn’t in there either? Fine fine fine, Iniesta it
is then.
The
"El Hadji Diouf" overrated player of the tournament: Goodness, yet
again I find myself in agreement with BCM. But I’d like to mention that perhaps
this name should be changed to the Florent Malouda award.
Controversy
of the tournament: Spain are in the semi’s. There are 2 minutes to go. They are
losing 4-1 to Holland. Michel Platini sees this and introduces a rule that “Any
team with the letters S.P.A.I.N in their name can use ONE player from Argentina
with letters M.E.S.S.I. as a surname.” Spain catches onto this, brings Leo on,
he scores 3 and sets up Xavi for the winner! Spain in the final
Blunder
of the tournament: I think it would be the Greece government allowing their
national team to fly first class to the Euros. You know you don’t have the money so WHY DO IT?!
