About BCM:
A football enthusiast with a penchant for comedy, writing and travel...Residing in arguably the most beautiful and diverse city in the world, Cape Town [South Africa].
Ardent supporter of Manchester United FC, since 92/93. My attraction to this fantastic club, rich in history and success, is probably as a result of a certain Frenchman whose on-field abilities were almost closely matched by his chirps to the media. Later on a favourite of mine Juan Sebastian Veron, joined the club, and despite this not being the most fantastic of football romances, it was a special period for me [supporting MUFC]. Realistic about the club itself and the players who don and have donned the red shirt of MUFC. I take exception to bandwagon jumpers. Football is arguably at the forefront of my life [unashamedly so] and I take quite a bit of stick for this. As this is 'The Beautiful Game', I have no problem giving credit where due...even to our rivals. Trivia: I have the words "La Brujita" tattooed on the inside of my left bicep. You do the math.
Why blog? A place to air opinions...speak our minds...show our love for the game we hold so dearly.
About POTZ:
Football? What's not to love about the beautiful game? The Emotion, The Unknown, The Passion. The Banter...and the opinions. Which is EXACTLY what I am about. Residing in Cape Town, my home...my love.
Liverpool FC supporter since 88/89. That season we handed Everton a 3-2 defeat in the FA Cup final. I fell in love with the Lark. I fell in love with the passion. I fell in love with the Club. My favourite player of all time is without a doubt Diego Maradona! He is the real reason I started to watch Italian Serie A. His much publicised move to (Then) Mafia funded Napoli for £6.9M was my window to the technical side of Football. My favourite Liverpool player would have to be Jamie Redknapp. Reason? One of the few Liverpool CM's to play with grace and fluidity. Injury plagued, but really my favourite number 11 of my generation. I'm not your typical Liverpool fan either. I know my history, but I don't live by it. I'm realistic about my club. I'm realistic about their aspirations. I watch football because I love it! I'm opinionated. Aren't we all?
I've always wanted to do a footie blog. Why not now?

Born in London, living in Cape Town, with an unhealthy love for football since 1992. I have a passion for stats & figures as well as the technical & tactical aspects of the beautiful game. For football I have screamed, attended, bought, analysed, subscribed & cried.
I have an opinion, and so should every football fan – this is where we share them.
Football isn’t about life & death, it’s more important than that.
